Nectar Cottage is a self-catering house situated in the only village that lies inside a South African National Park: Nature's Valley on the Garden Route.
The Tsitsikamma National Park surrounds Nature's Valley with a pristine beach, a beautiful lagoon and the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest. Expect to see Southern Cape Bushbuck, Bushpigs and an array of wild birds pass through the garden of Nectar Cottage.

Arguably the most beautiful part of the Garden Route in South Africa, Nature's Valley is unique in that it lies nestled in the Tsitsikamma National Park coastal forest - the only residential area within a South African National Park. Southern Cape Bushbuck, Bushpigs, and wild birds can frequently be seen in the gardens of Nature's Valley village.
To the south of Nature's Valley is the Indian Ocean, east the Groot River lagoon, and north and west the Tsitsikamma Forest. The majestic Tsitsikamma, Kouga, Kammanassie and Groot Swart mountain ranges flank this coastal area. Nature's Valley is 37 Kilometres east of Plettenberg Bay and 45 kilometres west of Storms River Mouth, just off the picturesque R102 and is quite accessible (see Maps and Distances for visuals). The closest airports to Nature's Valley are Plettenberg Bay (37 km), George (120 km), and Port Elizabeth (200 km).
Immersed in nature, away from the din of daily life in the cities and towns, Nature's Valley still boasts a good restaurant and a well-stocked shop. A renowned local baker provides delicious carrot cake, milktarts and an array of sweet and savoury foods that can be collected or delivered (see Food for contact information). Nature's Valley Health Retreat , just around the corner from Nectar Cottage, offers massages, facials, refloxology and courses on stress relief and personal development.
